GIS Map Controls

The GIS Map contains two sets of controls to work with. Here belong:

  1. Toolbar controls - [not available in experiment results] use them to add facilities to your supply chain model and show/hide the names of the facilities and the paths between the facilities.
  2. Filter options - use them to filter the elements that are shown on the GIS Map.
  3. Structure view - the floating button toggles the view shown to a user (GIS map / scenario logic structure).

Description

Panning Mode

Turns on the Panning mode, which allows you to pan and zoom the GIS map.

Create customer

Turns on the Creating customer mode, which allows you to add customers to the supply chain model.

To add a customer, double-click in the required location on the GIS map. A customer icon will appear on the GIS map and a new entry will be added to the Customers table.

Create warehouse

Turns on the Creating warehouse mode, which allows you to add warehouses (DCs) to the supply chain model. 

To add a warehouse, double-click in the required location on the GIS map. A warehouse icon will appear on the GIS map and a new entry of the DC type will be added to the DCs and Factories table.

 Create factory

Turns on the Creating factory mode, which allows you to add factories to the supply chain model. 

To add a factory, double-click in the required location on the GIS map. A factory icon will appear on the GIS map and a new entry of the Factory type will be added to the DCs and Factories table.

Create supplier

Turns on the Creating supplier mode, which allows you to add suppliers to the supply chain model. 

To add a supplier, double-click in the required location on the GIS map. A supplier icon will appear on the GIS map and a new entry will be added to the Suppliers table.

Show / Hide filters

Opens filter options, allowing to filter elements and connections shown on the GIS map and in the Structure view. The filter options comprise:

  1. Filter controls - the set of controls, triggering visibility of the elements on the GIS map (Customers, Sites, Suppliers, Paths, Labels). 
  2. Filter parameters - advanced filter parameters allowing you to manually specify the objects to filter.

Customers

Triggers the visibility of all the customer icons on the GIS map.

Sites

Triggers the visibility of all the site icons on the GIS map.

Suppliers

Triggers the visibility of all the supplier icons on the GIS map.

Show / Hide connections

Triggers the visibility of the connections between the elements of the GIS map, which represent  Sourcing policies defined for the supply chain facilities. 

Note: Connections may not be show for the following reasons.

    Show / hide labels

    Triggers the visibility of the supply chain facilities' labels on the GIS map. 

    A label of the facility is a value of the Name column in the corresponding table.
