Project Units

The Units dialog box allows you to add, remove, create, modify and specify the measurement units of weight, volume, distance, speed, time and the currency used within the supply chain scenarios.

To open Units dialog box

  1. Choose Settings > Units from the main menu. The dialog box will open.

The Units dialog box comprises the following sections:

  1. Unit type tabs - these are the categories, containing corresponding unit types.
  2. Unit used by default (per tab) - allows you to choose the default unit. It is the type of a unit that is used throughout the scenarios of the current project by default, preventing you from specifying it each time. You can set a default unit for each unit measurement type (Currency, weight, volume, distance, speed, time).
  3. Units used in the project (per tab) - the units listed in the box are available in the ALX tables.

Note: If you do not want certain units to be available in scenarios of the current project, do not keep them here.

  4. Set of controls - use the controls to manage the units.
  5. Add Predefined - opens a pop-up window with the available standard predefined units of the type tab you are currently in:
