Grouping / Ungrouping Table Records

The table visualization method allows you to groupe table records by the values of the table's one or several columns. When a column is added to the Grouping area above the table header, the table records get grouped under each of this column's values.

To group table records by column values

  1. Click the title of the column you wish to group table records by and drag it to the Grouping area. Table records will be grouped by the values of the grouping column:

    You can group a table by several columns if necessary. In this case, the relative left-to-right order of the columns in the Grouping area will correspond to the top-to-bottom grouping order of the table records:

  2. Optionally, set an aggregate function for the desired columns.

To ungroup table records by column values

  1. In the Grouping area above the table header, right-click the name of the column you want to ungroup data by and select Ungroup By from the shortcut menu:

    Table records will no more be grouped by the values of this column.
